Safe Food Production QLD, in conjunction with Dairy Australia and Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ), has recently conducted Dairy Business Focus Workshops.
The workshop program was developed to assist businesses reviewing their business continuity strategy including matters such as product traceability, recalls and preparedness for potential challenges to their brand in the marketplace.
Businesses that attended the workshops had access to expertise in the areas of regulation, industry assistance, media and retail.
Food businesses specialising in milk, cheese and yoghurt from South East Queensland attended the workshops. These food businesses were represented by owners and managers as well as quality assurance and operational management staff.
Further workshops are being planned for small to medium businesses in the dairy sector, with the potential for businesses operating under other food safety schemes to benefit from this program in the future.
