The Protein Bread Company (PBCo) is conducting a recall of their Vegan Egg Replacer 180g, Protein Muffin Mix 340g and Protein Pancake Mix 300g.
Distribution: The product has been available for sale online and at independent stores in NSW, QLD and WA.
Date markings:
- Vegan Egg Replacer: Best Before 06Oct23
- Protein Muffin Mix: Best Before 10Oct23 and 25Aug23
- Protein Pancake Mix: Best Before 20Oct23 and 06Nov23 and 26Nov23
Problem: The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (soy).
Food safety hazard: Any consumers who have a soy allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.
Country of origin: Australia
What to do: Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Consumers who have a soy allergy or intolerance should not consume these products and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
